lucky you, we're still waiting for that:) the downside of ash trees - they start late and get rid of their leaves early... but it's definitely a bit milder, can't be long now! I hope your superpregnant goat takes that as a sign:)

My husband was just commenting yesterday that our weeping elm seemed to fill up with leaves overnight! ;0) Enjoy the green!

Bettina, I believe I'll have a Ziggy kid post to share within the week!

Rachy, LOL, those green switches seem to have minds of their own.

Daisy, isn't it amazing how that happens? But oh, so welcome.

Amen Sister! It's an intense green too.

SM and I were looking out at the yard other day saying the grass looks like someone's taken a can spray paint to it.

That is why Ziggy has been holding out!

Still waiting on our spring. We're supposed to have more snow on Monday. sigh!

Who flipped the green switch? Nobody around here in northern Minnesota, that's for sure! Only twelve degrees this morning which means our high drifts of snow (someone said we got 18" this last snowfall . . . but how can they tell with so much drifting?) are going to stay like cement sculptures for a while.

I'll have to enjoy spring through your pictures! Keep 'em comin'. :o)

Tami, I reckon that's because of all the rain we've had??? It's glorious after winter's browns and grays!

Barb, Ziggy is hanging in there but starting to show signs of nearing the end. You all will be the first to know once she kids. :)

Renee, oh no. What a crazy winter it's been.

Mama Pea, you too. I can't imagine still having to deal with all that snow!

Same thing here- tree leafing out, blossoms, green grass...

No green switch here! It's blustery, grey and snowing today. Spring has gone somewhere else this weekend.

Wow! That was fast! It's barely starting here but I can see a green tint to the grass, nothing else has happened quite yet and now it's cold again. But spring is here, and she shows herself when she's ready! :) I bet the goaties love it!

Wow, what a difference! The plant that saves me from all the drab brown in the winter is the running bamboo Phyllostachys nuda, and the new shoots are supposed to be edible, though I haven't had the nerve to dig them. I get a lot of canes from them every year to stake my tomatoes, too. I also jumped into growing timber bamboo but it is much slower so I haven't cut any canes yet. I don't give any of them summer water so it may slow them down a lot.

Beautiful green! It means mowing at our house but at least one of us likes to mow! :) Your place is in full swing from babies, to garden, fruit trees! It is wonderful to have these seasons to appreciate the gifts that come!!

Leigh,

I love the flip of the green switch. To bad it wasn't sooner. This weekend will be the first weekend without frost. Can't wait to get outside and play in the dirt :-) and know it will count and things won't die off from the cold.

I love your header and the background picture of the flowering tree. What type of tree is this?

Nancy, isn't it great?

Nina, spring certainly does to be slow arriving in quite a few places.

Donna, trouble is, we don't really get much spring. It goes from cold to hot all too fast.

Hannah, that's great you're growing bamboo. I've thought about it too, but haven't taken the step. I'd love not only the canes, but the forage for the goats.

Julene, it truly is a spring green. I hear you on mowing though. We're past due! And unfortunately, it's always last on the to-do list. :)

Sandy, thank you! The tree in the background is a dogwood. It's a large old one that is always an eyecatcher. :)

Love all the green, once the flood water recede here maybe we will get more green! Waiting for Miss Ziggy to pop, poor little dear.
