Merry Christmas!

"Hey! There's no verse about a goat in that song!"

"We need to write one of our own."

"I," said the goat with eyes so bright
"Under the Star of glorious light;
Watched o'er His cradle all through the night."
"I," said the goat with eyes so bright.

"That's better."

Wishing you all the Happiest of Holy Days! Merry Christmas!

I'm going to take a wee bit of a blogging break, so I'll see you next year!

"Hmph. No verse about kitties either."

Most Merry of Christmas’s to you. The tale goes that when the goats entered the stable the glow from the child was so filled with love that their eyes forever remained horizontal.

The kitties were all snug in their beds...while visions of field mice danced in their heads. . The milk bowls were lined up in the barn with great care, with hope that St Goatimas soon would be there.

Okay it is not Chaucer but its for the farm cats.

God Bless you and your wonderful farm for this marvelous time of year. See you next year 🤗

That's darling! I like your verse. Goats would be sweet with the baby Jesus. I do wonder what a Cat Verse might be like!
