Ziggy |
A number of you have asked about Ziggy. I keep hoping I'll have kids show you, but we're still waiting. I don't think she can get any huger.
Based on the dates she was put with Gruffy, the last due date would be around June 2nd - 7th. This would also coincide with the time Elvis jumped two fences to get to her. I don't think Gruffy stood a chance.
It doesn't look like she can last that long, does it? I promise you all will be the first to know.

I often think about Ziggy - it's almost like waiting for one my own to pop!
I don't see how she can even walk. She has to be miserable. I can't wait until your post tells us she has FINALLY delivered.
Poor pupkin. She's ginormous. I have an Alpie named Minerva due on the 4th. Wouldn't it be funny if they both went at the same time?
I bet Ziggy's tired. My Minerva is a tired girl now, too. I feel so bad, but all I can tell her is "It's almost over". I don't think it helps. :)
Prying for a safe, healthy delivery!
Leigh even my kids are asking has that goat had her kids yet. LOL bless her heart. that is a beautiful picture of her. I would have to frame it for the house:) praying all goes well.
Quinn, my DIL, who's 7 months pregnant, groans every time she sees Ziggy.
DFW, she really has a chore of getting up to walk! And then she doesn't waddle very far. I have to force her to get some exercise.
Jocelyn, I hope Minerva kids well. Ziggy is tired all the time too. Poor dears.
Michelle and Cindi, thank you! Prayers very much appreciated.
I've been checking every day for news. It's really hard to believe she's still holding out. She's going to give birth to a whole herd of goatlings. Give her a scritch under the chin for me and tell her we're all getting impatient.
Poor girl, atleast she can rest after she delivers! Talk about huge!
The waiting is killing me! So frustrating. She is so huge. Bless her.
Nina, either that or she'll give birth to a whopper! I hope not though because she deserves an easy labor and delivery, I think.
Nancy, I'll be curious to weigh her brood to see how much weight she is actually carrying.
Bridget, it's terrible isn't it? :)
Wow. Just when you think she couldn't possibly get ANY bigger. That's amazing! Is this her first kidding or did she always get this freaking huge?
LOL, it makes one crazy waiting sometimes, especially when they look like they must be ready to pop! :) Paws crossed all goes well and can't wait to see those kids!
Poor Ziggy!!!!!
Carolyn, I've learned not to assume anything! This is her first kidding for me. And I never asked about previous pregnancies when I bought her. I think she's about three, so this could be a 2nd or 3rd.
Donna, thanks!
Sandy, I do feel sorry for her. Everything is such an effort for her these days. Hopefully it will be any day now.
I have walked a mile in those hooves myself. I was 2 1/ weeks over due and had a 9 lb. 12 oz. baby boy removed from me by c-section because he was not coming out any other way. I, however, was not bred to a goat twice my size...or was I....?
NO KIDS YET?!? OMGosh! I can't believe it!! I have not been online much the past two weeks so I thought SURELY, by now, the kids have arrived.
Okay, with a name like "Ziggy" I'm now wondering if Ziggy is actually just a very fat male goat! Ha ha ha!! Just kidding. Bless her heart, I hope and pray she delivers soon and it's an easy delivery.
Seriously I don't know how that girl is holding out!!!! :) She doesn't look too worried tho does she? LOL
I hope by now ya'll have checked out Ziggy's Surprises!!!!!
