March Photos

Closing out March with a few random photos from my March photo folder.

I have to comment on the above photo. I've put a lot of "cat in front of the wood stove" photos on my blog over the years, and about 99% of them have been with Sam in the kitty bed. One day, Meowy helped herself to the kitty bed, and big scaredy-cat Sam is too intimidated by feisty little Meowy to take it back! So, he's found himself a new spot to sleep.

All remains well in Sam's world.

I can almost feel the cool and wet, unlike here in New Home where we seem to be advancing straight on into Summer. Sigh...

Are you SURE all is well in Sam's world?? ;o) (Adorable picture.)

Evidently I'm a woodworker. My favorite was that knot of wood near the bottom of your post.

TB, March seems to be the month of damp and chilly. Plenty of frosty mornings. I'm just hoping summer doesn't start in April this year. I'm not ready for 80s+!

Mama Pea, Sam has been known to sulk when he doesn't get his way, but he adapted pretty well to the change in bed arrangements. This time, lol. His number one life rule is "be comfortable."

Ed, I was intrigued that that too. It's an old stump that got water logged during one of our recent downpours. The rings make a fascinating pattern, don't they?

Goodness!!! You look to be at least 4-6 weeks ahead of us and though I should not wish the days away I am so looking forward to warmer weather. My wild pear tree is in full bloom and beautiful but my good pear tree is just on the cusp of bloom. About the only thing around here that's blooming is forsythia BUT my strawberries seem to be coming around ever so slowly. Have a wonderful Spring! Here's to a beautiful year.

I love seeing the signs of spring in your posts. It looks so warm in comparison. Today I saw a few tulips and daffs starting to send their leaves to test the weather. It's also freezing rain and ice pellets, so one sort of crosses out the other. Still if you have spring stuff, then we will have them at some point too.
Cats do love to toast in front of a fire. Ours take turns, but I leave handwoven wool blankets out for the others, so none of them are too hard off. ;)

Hi Leigh! ☺ Oh those goats...I'm smitten. Right now our cats are planting themselves in our rocking chairs by the sunny windows lol!

Nina, we are fortunate to have an early spring, but we also get a hotter summer than most! Interesting that your pears are just starting to bloom. Same here. I reckon ours are just slow this year.

Nina, it sounds like you're still in the midst of winter! No wonder you've been knitting so many socks. :)

Agent X, thanks!

Nina, it is a great name! Pretty neat to have both of you visiting and commenting. :)

Rain, maybe one of these days you'll have goats too! :)
