Front Room Side Windows: Before & After

Apparently I don't have a good photo of the original side windows in the front room. This one is the best I could find for a before photo.

Photo from 2009

The windows behind the blinds were identical to the ones in the front of the room. Actually, they were identical to all the original windows in this house. Even though we replaced them all, those old windows were used for the walls of the greenhouse.

I have pictures from 2020 of Dan replacing them (here), and a picture of how it's looked since then.

Here's what it looks like now.

The loom is in the way, but you can see what a nice job Dan did. It's a huge improvement.

I've already started painting the ceiling. It needed a fresh coat of paint. The walls will be next and after that I can put the window coverings back. I have an idea for the two quilt-look bedspreads, which will hopefully work.

It looks so lovely. Dan is a treasure.

It looks like you'll have ample natural light to work on your treasures. Great job, Dan!

Rosalea, I agree!

Daisy, I know. I just love all the light. I'm getting close to being able to start using the loom, too. As soon as I get the ceiling painted, I have an idea for a project!

I hope you aren't like me and by the time you finish round one of the house, round two will be in the planning stages already!

Ed, that's what we're debating right now. Dan says he just want to be done with it and I say okay. Then a couple of days later he's got new projects in mind. I just say okay to that too. :)

So much more natural light! When we were looking for an apartment in New Home 2.0, The person helping us recommended finding the biggest windows we could for the natural light Given that it is so cloudy so much of the time.

I can't wait to see it all come together.

TB, that was good advice. I love natural light too. Although when the temps are really cold, I keep our thermal curtains closed because they help to keep the house warm. I much prefer to work in natural light if I can.

Dicky Bird, me too!
