It will all come together in the long run, and it sure beats taking on a lot of debt. I bought a rental house from my son, and as part of the deal, he did a major renovation. He furnished the labor and I paid for the materials. I lived for about a year and a half with walls I could walk through (studs only) and then for another year or so with various stages of construction. It was so worth it, though, and I still have a low mortgage payment.
The porch clearing and prep work looks fabulous. Great job on those supports. Just take your time, look on craigslist and at the habitat for humanity stores for free or very in expensive supplies. Before you know it you'll have this job completed.
Hokey smokes, Bullwinkle. That's a lot of support! *heh* Glad the project is moving right along. I know those long-term things. They move in fits and starts. Hope the reconstruction goes as well as the deconstruction was. And does anyone else miss Rocky & Bullwinkle? Take care. :-D

Mari, I wish it could be done before really cold weather, but there are a lot of steps to complete the entire project, including new door, new windows, and new siding!
Kris, definitely remember Rocky and Bullwinkle. :)
Renee, it will be basically the same, but with new door, windows, siding, paint, and no screens, it will definitely look different. :)
