Whoopty-do, what's so special about closet doors? What's special is what Dan did to them! This was his winter creative project, a woodburning on each door.

He needs to finish staining and finishing, and then they can be hung permanently. At the rate we're going that may take awhile. :)

ReplyDeleteHow lovely! Here is New England many of the really old houses have artwork as part of the actual house - like landscape murals painted on walls - but I don't think I've ever seen woodburned landscapes anywhere. They are beautifully executed. Well done Dan!

They are so beautiful. You both have accomplished a lot of things recently, even if it doesn't seem like it. It takes time to care for 5 acres and critters and live as well. Have a great weekend!

Yes, he does sell them (occasionally) but it doesn't seem to be the sort of thing that can bring in a regular sort of sideline income. And it would be impossible to every get paid what the pieces are "worth" in terms of hours spent creating them!
