Helen, fortunately he got it done before the really frigid air hit us. It's just taken me a few days to get the photos internet ready and write the post. It feels good to have that part of the barn covered!
Kris, thanks! I admit that we pretty much try to look to the welfare of our critters first. Fortunately everyone has good housing so there isn't huge pressure to finish this. But once we move the girls out of their little barn, that will become Dan's workshop and storage, which means we can get organized and the grounds cleaned up! Really looking forward to that.

Catching up on some of your recent posts. Finally. The barn is looking fantastic! we too had to slow down our work, especially when the temps were zero or below many days. But the three sides up and lots of bedding kept the critters pretty well.
ReplyDeleteI like the way you used the roofing metal to cover the exposed end of the ridge beam. You are thinking ahead to prevent unnecessary rot and decay. I'm glad you got the roof on!
ReplyDeleteDonna, I need to get caught up on some blog visiting too. Nice that you've already got your critters moved in. I wish we could too but we aren't that far along yet. Now with more rain and cold in the forecast, I don't imagine much else will get done anytime soon!
