I'm Gonna Be On Radio!

5 Acres & A Dream
TheBook: The Challenges
of Establishing a Self-
Sufficient Homestead
Shortly after 5 Acres & A Dream The Book came out I was contacted by Scott Terry, who hosts Christian Farm and Homestead on blogtalkradio.com. He invited me to do an interview on his show about my book. What an honor! If you'd like to hear the show live over your computer, mark your calendars for Friday, January 17 at 8 pm EST and save the following link -

If you can't make it for that date and time, you'll be able to find the podcast in the Christian Farm and Homestead archives via the same link.

If you aren't familiar with Scott's show, do check it out. His archives are full of interesting and informative interviews, all of interest to both farmers and homesteaders. It's a great resource.

  2. Thank you one and all. However, I feel too socially challenged to be up to it really. I like writing better than speaking because I can stop and think about what I'm trying to say!

  3. Excellent! I'm looking forward to hearing it. I listen to that podcast occasionally. I'm glad you've reminded me of it.

  4. Congrats, Leigh. Like you I prefer the "shadows" to the limelight. All I can suggest for nerves is that you focus on your breathing and talk as though you are only talking to the presenter :)

    Wish I could listen in...

  6. Leigh,

Congratulations my friend, what an honor and privilege to talk about your book live on the radio.
You'll do just fine talking live, think of it as if you're on the telephone with a friend.

  8. Hey, our very own Leigh is on her way to being famous! (I have a feeling you'd like to be famous as much as I would. I've always said rich wouldn't be too bad, but I'll skip the famous, thank you very much.)

Seriously, your information is of so much value to so many. Great to hear this radio interview will spread the word (your words!) all the more and make folks aware of your great book.

  11. Leigh, the curse of introverted thinkers!!! I can't think while I'm talking so I have to think it all out BEFORE I start talking. A live interview?? I will start praying for you now. Not that you need it, but I need it...anxiety and all. lol
    congratulations this is great!!

  13. Leigh,
I'm Glad that the book is getting so much attention! I'm about 1/2 way thru it and have been working out what kind of review I will give it when I finish reading. At this point, I do know it will be a very deserved 5 star review.
    Congratulations!

  15. Congratulations Leigh! I have started your book & am loving it so far. I have a Kindle but for reference materials I like paper so your book is definitely going to go on my reference book shelf. I'll write my formal review on Amazon once complete.
