  1. They are so precious! I wish I could have kitties, but Hubby is deathly allergic.

  4. I love the WIDE eyes and alert ears. And how the animals check each other out. :)

  5. So when do these kitties report for work? ;o)

  6. They have such beautiful markings. Must be a lot of fun watching their antics.

  7. What did they think of the grass the first time they stepped on it? And what did they think of the chickens? Did Katy go and see them, or just Riley?

  8. Heather, I feel fortunate neither of us has allergies to cats. Our cats really make a contribution by keeping the mouse and shrew population down.

Theresa, it was so much fun to watch. Everyone was very curious about them.

Thanks Mama Pea! The kitties absolutely love going out but it will be awhile before they can go unsupervised.

Maggie, they are so full of wonder, especially Katy. Of course, there's something about her facial markings that always make her look like that.

Renee, we're just waiting for them to see their first mouse. :)

    Evelyn, it's better than TV!

Benita, Riley ran out full blast, Katy had to sniff everything first. They love playing in the grass now. Only Riley was brave enough to go check out the other animals. Katy observed from a safe distance. :)

  9. LOL. They are so cute. I'm sure they are just fascinated by everything outside. How is the Llama doing? I know absolutely nothing about Llamas and am about as fascinated by him as Riley.

  10. They are so pretty...and grown up!

  11. BM&T, it has been so much fun to watch everybody. The barnyard crew is just as curious about the kittens, as the kittens are about them.

The llama (Charlie) is doing really well. I have to admit that I knew less about llamas than I thought. More on that in an upcoming post!

Sara, I really love Katy's tabby over tortoiseshell coloring. It's subtle and doesn't always show well, but that 2nd to the last pic really shows it well.

  12. Well, gee whiskers, my kitty comment ended up on the wrong post. What amazing photos of these babies meeting the world!

  13. Oh...I love grey tabbies. I have one myself. She is very loving and wild at the same time. She won't come in the house anymore because we have an "interloper," at least in her opinion, a large orange tabby who is very intense with her. He should "cool his jets" but he's a male and doesn't know how to do that. I think your two are adorable! I am sticking with grey tabby females from here forth, no more male kitties for me although we used to have two of the sweetest male kitty boys on earth. A coyote captured them, I'm sure.

  15. Ozarkhomesteader, so glad to know I'm not the only one who mismatches comments and posts!

Caterina, these are a return to tabbies for us. My DH used to be a sworn cat hater, until he met the right cat, a little feral gray tabby we named Junior. He's been a cat lover ever since. We loved our Rascal and grieved him terribly when he died. After him though, the choice for a grey tabby was the only one. :)

Blue Bird, thank you so much! What a wonderful compliment. Of course, it helps to have photogenic subjects. :)

  16. Great photos. I'm feeling sad at the prospect of leaving our cat Slink behind when we move to Seattle.
