"Pain-ted?" (To Quote Mike Wazowski)

Our kitty doorbell

Our kitty doorbell works very well for it's intended purpose. However, when I finally get around to painting the back door, methinks it had better be a dirty kitty footprint color.

Our dog just stands there and looks at them. She is smart but I guess where she is just a year old, maybe still learning, lol!

My back door looks the same. I've tried to scrub it and wash it but you can't get that stuff off.

You actually hit the nail on the head, Leigh. If you can't beat em, join em!

Wonder if Sherwin Williams makes a mud colored paint. What would they call it? Muddy Acres? It's Not Poo? Paw Print Puce?

LOL. That is so cool. I should try it with my cats. At the moment they just yowl at the top of their lungs when they need the doorman.

How 'bout a sign saying, "Please insert front paws in latex gloves before batting bells."

Our dog couldn't get our attention fast enough some days by staring at the door so she took to putting her front paws up on the window box in front of the window next to the door (are you still with me?) and scratching on the screen. You can guess what this did to the screen.

hm, no cats = no bells here. but where the dog pushes open the doors with her nose - we have grubby, black spots on all doors:) do dog noses shed colour like black rubber???

I'm not sure that I would want those dirty kitty paws back in my house. ;o) But I'm sure that he would protest to being a total outdoor kitty.
Glad that the bells are working for you. He is a smart boy!

Awe, I like the doorbell! I think I will do that for our cats! One cat meows quite loud when she wants in, but the other scratches the door... as for the color, yup, I betcha you could find a color to match!

The doorbell is a great idea :) Maybe paint the door a tan color?

I had a lab that use to rind the bell on the door to go out. It was great.

Love the paw prints! We have Old English Sheepdog nose prints on all nose level windows and sliding glass doors around here. Windex is a dog Mom's best friend.

What a great idea!

I think I would put longer ropes on the bells, then it would not have a gritty feel around the door knob where you put your hand. I wonder if you take a picture to paint store if they can match paw print color.

Smart cats tho that can ring the bells.

I always wondered why my granny painted those gloss black squares on the doors, right where the door knob was and the scratch marks from shoes and paws...NOW I KNOW...lol!

When I worked with parrots, guess what colors my wardrobe was!

Hint: not trying to match the feathers ;)

Sharon, that was actually pretty clever! Our mud is lighter than black though, so not a good choice. :) I'm hoping glossy enamel paint will make it easy to wash off.

Quinn, oh no, that's worse! You must love your parrots very much. :)

Signs of love, me thinks...of your love for your animals and your good stewardship.
There have been bells on my outside doors since I've had animals; dogs and cats jingle them to let their keeper know they need assistance. LOL
